TRASHCAM addresses the issues of fly-tipping and littering from vehicles using an advanced AI solution. This system operates through CCTV technology. The solution integrates a litter detection algorithm with Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) and a customised dashboard. When an individual discards items in unauthorised areas, the AI captures the image and links the incident to the vehicle from which the person exited. This enables the ANPR system to track the license plate and cross-reference it with the DVLA database to identify the offender. The collected evidence is then assembled into a package and sent to authorised personnel, allowing for fines to be issued as needed.
